Tips to travel efficiently and safely in Minecraft

1) Always carry a bed

When you first enter a new Minecraft world, you must quickly make beds so that you can sleep and skip nighttime, when hostile mobs get to spawn on the surface. Hence, when you go on a journey, it is best to take beds so that you can travel safely during the day most of the time.

Since there is not a lot of difference in terms of mining and finding new biomes between day and night, you will not miss much by always skipping the nighttime.

2) Always carry a water bucket

A water bucket might seem like a normal item in Minecraft, but it is extremely useful. While traveling, you will encounter all kinds of terrains, both plain and irregular. If you fall off a high place, you can take massive amounts of fall damage and die. However, if you place water right before falling onto a block, you can completely negate the fall damage.

Hence, the water bucket should not only be in the inventory, but it should be in your hotbar itself so that it can be used as quickly as possible.

3) Always carry enough wood and crafting table

The crafting table is arguably the most integral and useful block in Minecraft. Through it, you get the ability to craft all kinds of items and blocks. Though you usually will keep a crafting table in your bases, it must always remain in your inventory while traveling, which will allow you to craft anything on the go.

Furthermore, wood logs or wood planks are another useful resource. If you get stuck in a biome where there is no wood, the ones in the inventory can be used to craft items and survive.

4) Use transportation as much as possible

Certain transportation methods in Minecraft can massively help you travel. These include riding horses, rowing boats, traveling through Nether portals, and more.

While traveling with these methods, you can save a lot of energy since you can reach far-off places a lot sooner. Furthermore, you can save your hunger bar a lot efficiently by not walking, jumping, or sprinting.

5) Constantly organize inventory

When you roam around a Minecraft world, you can accumulate a lot of items extremely quickly. As a result, your inventory can fill up and become chaotic. Hence, it is always advised to keep organizing your inventory by throwing away less useful items, and prioritizing what matters the most.

Though you can always create an ender chest or shulker boxes to keep more items on them, you must still constantly organize your inventory to access items more efficiently.

6) Prioritize food more than loot

While traveling far and wide in Minecraft, food items should be one of the top priorities. Food is what will keep your hunger and health bar full so that you can survive all kinds of dangers throughout the journey.

While filling your inventory with precious loot can be tempting, you must always prioritize food since you will simply not be able to use any loot if you starve and get into a fatal situation.
