In partnership with JETS Australia

Emma Boyd knows how to maximise a summer vacation. The Kiwi model is an IT-girl in her own right, whose timeless beauty captures the essence of sun-drenched days and balmy Mediterranean nights. And when it comes to her Euro vacay dress code – it all starts with swimwear.

As the face of the JETS Resort 24 campaign, she knows a thing or two about the subject too – opting to pair her favourite swimwear with an oversized, light-weight sarong, or a comfy set of slides. While we crave the summer sun returning to Southern Hemisphere shores, we spoke to the Auckland-born model about her European summer travel tips, go-to holiday reads and must-have swimwear…

When travelling for a European summer, what are some of your vacation must-haves that you always need to bring with you?

Slide on shoes for sure – something for when you’re running from the beach back to your room or a restaurant. S-P-FRICKEN F!!!!! I’m talking 50+ and two pairs of sunglasses because one pair is bound to go M.I.A. And a swimsuit, of course – like the Versa Rib Cut Out High Neck One Piece. It’s a super versatile style that I like to wear beach-side or as a body suit.

What book would you recommend for a holiday read?

Acid for the Children by Flea.

When it comes to swimwear, what is it you look for that draws you to a piece?

I’m loving a bandeau-style one piece like the Sorella Bandeau One Piece. It shows the collar bones and cinches the waist – and, of course, it’s strapless, so you can roll it down for a topless tan (free the nip). With bikinis, I look for something with bright colours or an interesting design, like the Jetset Bandeau Bikini Top and Jetset U Trim Mid Pant. Oh! And it has to be doing the bum justice, even though I don’t have one.

Do you have a favourite silhouette from the Jets Resort 24 collection?

Definitely the Sorella Bandeau One Piece.

How would you style it?

I’d throw on the Sorella Long Sarong with a black slide or sandal, and some jewellery to take me from beach to bistro.

The Resort 24 collection is entitled ‘LA DOLCE VITA’, a nod to the 1960s Italian film of the same name, which translates to ‘the sweet life’. What makes you own life sweet right now?

The thought of sitting sea-side with a book and an Aperol spritz in hand. I know that’s not right now in Australia, but soon!
